On December 5th, Caleb Sangster, and Jack Mizrahi from GDF partner organizations Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley and Make-A-Wish Metro New York had their dreams come true with the New York Knicks!
Caleb fulfilled his wish of being the Honorary Knicks Coach and Jack fulfilled his wish of being the Honorary Knick for the Day! Throughout their treatments and recovery, both Caleb & Jack expressed that watching the Knicks brought them joy and gave them the strength to continue.
They started off the night at the pre-game press conference where they got the opportunity to talk with Knicks Head Coach, Tom Thibodeau, about how he prepared the team for the upcoming game. As their wish day continued, they attended the pre-game shoot around, experienced their own private meet & greet with Knicks Captain Jalen Brunson and received some awesome Knicks swag. They both then made their way onto the court for their special inclusion in the pre-game announcements!
Caleb was announced as the ‘Honorary Coach’ during the team introductions, and Jack lined up with the Knicks for the National Anthem and was included in the player introductions and got a special shoutout as the in ‘Honorary Knick for a Day’.
Both Caleb & Jack enjoyed the rest of their Knicks wish day watching the game courtside with their families!
