On February 4th, the Garden of Dreams Foundation and Covenant House New York hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the complete renovation of a state-of-the-art music studio. The studio will allow the 1,500 young adults experiencing homelessness a space to improve and grow their musical talents.

The refurbishment was made possible by the Garden of Dreams Foundation’s Community Projects program, which provides direct financial support for improvements to local community facilities, as well as for community-based sports, entertainment and media projects, that enhance the environment of young people where they live and grow.

Through a $200,000 grant, improvements were made to the space including professional-grade soundproofing, furnishings, lighting and equipment. The funding also enables CHNY to enhance their existing music programming, as well as develop new music classes, which will allow the young people to discover creative outlets and learn about the music industry in an authentic environment.
