On December 2nd, Vincent Gagliano from GDF partner organization Make-A-Wish Metro New York, fulfilled his wish of being the honorary starter for the NY Rangers!
Vincent is 11 years old from Brooklyn, New York and suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and uses a wheelchair for most of his daily activities. Vincent signed his one-day contract with the Rangers and received a custom jersey presented to him by Rangers alumni, Adam Graves and John Giannone. He was then greeted in the arena with a personal welcome sign on Garden-Vision.
Vincent participated in the pre-game bench buddies where he watched warmups from the Rangers bench. At the start of the game, Vincent made his Rangers debut on the blue line as their honorary starter!
He was able to enjoy the rest of the game with his family from premium seats, visited Rangers announcers, Sam Rosen & Joe Micheletti, and even got to ride the Zamboni in between periods! He also enjoyed a post-game meet & greet with Adam Fox, Chris Kreider, and Will Cuylle!
Such a special night for Vincent and his family!
